Steven W. Anderson

We are so excited to have Steven W. Anderson as our opening keynote speaker. Steven is a Dad, learning evangelist, educator, speaker, and author.

As a former classroom teacher and Director of Instructional Technology Steven is highly sought after for his expertise in educational technology integration and using social media for learning. As @web20classroom he regularly travels the country talking to schools and districts about the use of Social Media in the classroom and how they can better serve students through technology.

  • Can sponsors attend the conference? Yes, sponsors may register as an attendee.

 

  • Can I have a booth? No, we do not have room for booths. We can contact you to register for a booth at the Technology Vendor Fair in October 2017.

Due to the limited space and large number of presentations at our Technology Conferences, we do not host a vendor hall at the conference. Instead, we have sponsorship opportunities available to help share information regarding your product or service that will benefit our school districts in Region 10.

We have several levels of sponsorship opportunities available:

  • $750 – Student Video Contest Prize

  • $500 – Gold Sponsor – Room Sponsorships

  • $250 – Silver Sponsor

  • $100 – Bronze Sponsor

  • Door Prizes – Should be usable by anyone – no grade level or role specific prizes please.

 
Sponsorship benefits include:

  • Logo/website advertising with contact information on the conference website in the Special Thanks section

  • Higher level sponsors will receive logo advertising on the video monitors throughout the day of the conference.

About the Selection Process
Individuals representing all academic disciplines and levels in the educational system and all phases of technology education are welcome to submit proposals. Sessions will be chosen based on their interest to convention attendees and relevance to current trends and best practices. All proposals will be carefully reviewed and selected by the Technology Conference committee. Applicants will receive acceptance or regret notifications no later than April 3.

Presenter Requirements
We request all presenters and co-presenters register for the conference. Each presenter is expected to provide a link to their presentation materials in advance. These will be linked in the Technology Conference app.

Presentation Session
Presentations will be 45 minutes in length and must showcase technology integration in education. Presenters are encouraged to share proven strategies for successful curriculum integration from personal experience and research projects related to technology-based instruction. 

About the Strands
Each presentation is aligned to one or more strands so attendees can easily identify the sessions that best fit their interests.

  • Online and Blended Learning (Global Connections, Virtual Classrooms, Flipped Classrooms)

  • Library Media (Information Literacy, Library Services, and Media Integration)

  • Professional Development (Professional Development Strategies, Models, and Deployment)

  • Pedagogy and Instructional Design (Technology Integration,  Best Practices, Strategies, Project- and Problem-Based Learning, Makerspaces, Learning Environments)

  • Technology Applications and CTE Courses (Coding, Computer Science, BIMM, STEM, STEAM, etc.)

STUDENTS

R10 Film Contest

The Region 10 Student Film Contest begins February 1, with submission due March 24th, 2017. The theme for this year is “My World Through the Lens of Technology”. The contest is open to any student enrolled in any public or private school belonging in the Region 10 Education Service Center (ESC) area.
